This is the second time we've done this and it is just so much fun. Ethan enjoyed his first ride and then proceeded to try and get away from the guide for the next 9 runs. Poor kid. The rest of us had a great time.
Disclaimer: No trees were harmed in our pursuit for the next thrill.
We had to take Mack's parents to the Ostrich farm so they could take a ride - it was so worth it. Did you know that an Ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain? Well now you do.
Kirstenbosch Gardens is one of my favourite places in the world. My friend Jenni and I used to dream about sneaking in and spending the night there. Kirstenbosch is a botanical garden planted on the leeward side of Table Mountain. You can literally spend hours there walking around and getting lost. And when you're done, they have a little tea room where you can go and get a nice pot of rooibos tea and a couple of scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream - yummy.
The day we went to Cape Point (the very tip of the African continent) was an absolutely beautiful day. We didn't get to see as may baboons out and about ass usual, but climbing the five hundred million steps to the lighthouse to see the point is still pretty spectacular - no matter how many times you declare how you want to die going up.
Ethan is obsessed with trains. Well....actually...he's more obsessed with trains crashing, crashing into one another, crashing into trucks, cars, boats, airplanes etc, but this time he had to suffice with riding in one.
