Like Father Like Daughter

My Pride and Joy

A Grand Day Out

We went to Lagoon with my Brother and his family last week. It was a fun day out. I only got to go on one ride because I was worried what the jostling might do to my back. Oh well.

Ethan hid behind me the first time we went on this ride - the second time though...

This was Taz's favourite by far - mainly because the car was "sparkly blue".

Little Miss H enjoying the air conditioned "mother's room". The rest of the day she just took in her stride.

Pretty as a Picture

Arts and crafts in our house go a little something like this:

Pain, Pain Go Away

The pain drains me and makes it hard to function. I don't have a choice though and function I must. I'm sure Taz senses when I am most low, because those are the days she is the whiniest, clingiest and most uncooperative. I try so hard to be positive through the pain, but every now and then it gets to me. I become resentful, moody and incredibly unpleasant to be around. The people around me don't understand. I don't blame them.

I'm trying to come to terms with this as being my lot in life. I'm trying to find the lessons I'm supposed to be learning from this. The pain consumes my thoughts and blocks out all reason. Sometimes I can handle it. Most of the time though I rage against it in my head. I resent pain free, healthy people. I resent Mack for his ability to move, exercise and play with our kids with a smile on his face.

Normally when I need a release I can have a good cry and feel better. The pain has taken that away from me too. Nothing helps.

I am tired, I am depressed, I am morbid, I am resentful, I am snippy. I apologize.

Watch Me Twirl

This is what happens when the Tazling gets a new "princess ballet skirt". She has her self an all consuming twirl fest!

Ariel 3

My dear little Tazling turned 3 today. Where has the time gone?

She is obsessed with all things Ariel at the moment (as in The Little Mermaid), so we celebrated with an Ariel cake, Ariel doll, and when I asked her how old she is today, her reply naturally was, "Ariel three."

Little Pool of Melted

As I was tucking Taz into bed tonight I gave her a big hug and kiss and told her I loved her. And, for the first time unprompted, she wrapped her little arms around my neck gave me a big kiss and said, "I love you too mommy, so much."

And, I melted.
