We have bunnies. They're the cutest little things that live under our deck and hop around our yard. I am not a pet person, but
Mack and I were explaining to Tamsine that her bunnies tooth was knocked loose, and in all seriosity (I believe it is a word), she said, "Well we'll just get the doctor to give my bunny one of those gold teeth so it can still eat. Yeah, that will look good." Both Mack and I looked at one another and then burst out laughing. I could just picture a gold toothed, lop eared bunny with one eye. Classic.

Little Miss H'ism
It has been a very long while, and I wasn't really going to continue this blog, but last year my kids started going to a new school to which I had to drive them. On our morning drives, they started asking me to tell them funny stories about when they were younger or funny things they did as babies. And do you know, for the life of me, I couldn't remember as many of them as I thought I would. I was grateful I had recorded as many of them as I did in this blog and on Facebook as I had. So, I'm going to start writing down their antics again. Not for my benefit, but for theirs.
My oldest has decided that fishing is her new passion. She gets these ideas in her head every now and then and they just stick, and then she clings to them with a tenacity that would make us millions if we could figure out a way to actually turn it into a product. Neither my husband nor I fish. We never have, but she, in all her 10 yr old glory decided she is now a fisher woman. So, her dad bought her a fishing pole from the classifieds for $2 and a bottle of gross looking bait, and we traipsed her up to the local reservoir to fulfill all her glee filled dreams of hooking a fish. Turns out she actually enjoyed it and caught herself two smaller, but edible rainbow trout. And before, what were just dreams of fishing, suddenly became her reality and she was hooked. So now she and her dad have this thing they enjoy doing together, however that leaves my youngest daughter and I left to our own devices while up at the res.
The H and I enjoy time outdoors and being by the lake, but neither of us are very into the fishing part. A couple of days however we went to a reservoir called Silver Lake Flat. On the one side of the lake was a huge granite boulder field that was quite enticing. I remembered jumping on huge granite rocks when I was a kid and loving it, so I motioned over to the boulders and asked the kiddo if she wanted to do a little adventuring with me. She immediately jumped at the offer with her little face lighting up. The rocks were huge and she took off like a rock rabbit on crack. There were a number of times my heart nearly stopped cause I thought she was going to crack her noggin open as she fearlessly left from ginormous granite boulder to ginormous granite boulder. we were having so much fun ( I was slightly winded from all the exertion.). I noticed she was showing signs of needing to use the restroom. (If you are not in the mood for overshare, this is where you need to stop reading). I asked her about her needs and she denied them (of course), but when I told her the rocks were big enough to hide her and she could pee in the open, her little face lit up once more and she admitted to needing to go really badly. She whipped her knickers down in a trice and I helped suspend her off the side of one of the rocks so she could pee. (She thought this was the best.). Once she was done, she hopped onto one of the large high rocks again, assumed a pose with her hands on her hips and proudly announced in her pseudo English accent, "I just marked my territory!", then she slowly raised both arms in the air with her hands fisted and went, "Mwahahahaha!"
This child is ready for world domination.
